I am thinking of teaching it and no I am not talking about vi or mild stuff like rsp or add or adhd stuff stuff like more like severe to moderate. anyone interested in autism the more severe type and stuff like that? your experiences? talk about it here!
I loved working with autistic kids! Everything was so fast-paced and uniform, but I found that working with the children on their levels decreased behavior problems. I did some when I was at our state Braille jail transition program. The staff were so surprised that I got their "problem child" through her snack, meds and to bed without a fuss...and with some laughs. It really wasn't that hard; I just interacted on her level. Unfortunately for them, she was more than a name and a list of duties.
i love working with people who have severe disability specially with the youngsters. sadly, it Australia the system is so bad that the support worker become like a robot, discounting all the human emotions, compassion, and personal contact. Workkers become more a duty base instead of a passion base. It also means that people who work in that industry have a messive turn over. you will be consider lucky to to meet same worker twice.
